Top Marks for Sutton

The Council's housing services managed by Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) have been awarded the highest possible rating of C1 for its social housing after inspection by the Government’s Regulator for Social Housing.

Flats above shops to receive food waste collections as part of new trial

Over one hundred flats above shops in Sutton are set to receive new food waste bins as part of an upcoming trial to provide all households with access to a food waste recycling service. The trial is part of service improvements being made as part of the new recycling and waste contract between Veolia and Sutton Council that came into effect in April 2025.

Twenty years of making a difference!

Sutton Community Works celebrated their 20th anniversary last week, marking two decades of exceptional service to the community. This is what they do: they run Sutton’s food banks, the community food shop in the St Nicholas Centre, a homeless shelter in the winter months and their street pastor team give help and support on our high streets all year round.
