How we can help

Our specialist learning disability team helps adults with a learning disability to access specialist support, when extra care is needed.

We provide access to specialist services, to help you to live a happy and independent life. These include:

psychology and mental health support
help to stay healthy and access health services
occupational therapy to help you be as independent as possible
physiotherapy for specialist assessments and treatment
speech and language therapy to help with communication
creative therapy, dramatherapy and music therapy to help improve emotional wellbeing

You can contact us yourself or someone else can contact us on your behalf.

If you have a social worker, you can contact them to talk about what's happening too.

We will assess your needs to find out what support you need. If we find you need specialist support, we will arrange it for you.

You can also book an appointment with your GP to ask for a referral.

After you contact us, you’ll usually hear from us within 2 to 3 weeks.

We’ll talk to you about what you’re having difficulty with and decide what support services are right for your needs.
