This Monday is White Ribbon Day and the start of the globally-recognised 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence. We are proud that Sutton Council is a White Ribbon accredited organisation, committed to tackling violence against women and girls, and creating a safer community.

As newly trained White Ribbon Ambassadors, it is our role to show our commitment to playing our part in preventing and ending violence against women and girls by challenging harmful attitudes and behaviours within the workplace and in our communities.

From 25 November - 10 December, please join us for a series of free events in Sutton - from active bystander training and lunch-and-learns to a White Ribbon Walk. Follow our social media for updates.

As part of our work to support those impacted by domestic abuse, Sutton Council have recently selected Cranstoun to lead our specialist domestic abuse services, including partnerships with Sutton Women's Centre, Jigsaw4U, and The Limes College.

This new service, known as Sutton Domestic Abuse Support Services (Sutton DASS), will act as a central hub, providing resources, guidance and individual advice. These services are an important step toward ensuring survivors receive the highest level of care and support in Sutton.

As White Ribbon Ambassadors, we are deeply committed to challenging harmful norms and encouraging a culture of respect and equality. Together, let’s stand together in saying: violence against women and girls has no place in Sutton - or anywhere.
