Celebrating Sutton’s Unsung Heroes

It was a pleasure to attend Sutton’s annual Community Awards this week at the Cryer Arts Theatre in Carshalton where we came together to celebrate the extraordinary individuals and groups who make Sutton the remarkable borough it is. The Sutton Community Awards brought together the best of our community, with an impressive 268 nominations.

Every year, the Sutton Community Awards highlight those everyday heroes who go above and beyond in Sutton. From volunteers and community leaders to groups, this celebration is a moment to reflect on the hard work, dedication and kindness shown by so many across our communities.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate someone. Your recognition shows how much we value those who dedicate their time and effort to making our borough better. Congratulations to all those who were shortlisted and nominated.

A special thank you to Tim Vine, who we were delighted was able to join us again as host making the evening even more memorable, and to our partners Community Action Sutton, Sutton Housing Partnership, Volunteer Centre Sutton, Sutton Primary Care Networks and to Everyone Active without whom this event could not be possible.
