Each year, Sutton's Community Awards recognise remarkable individuals and groups across the borough. Last year saw over 270 nominations for individuals, groups and organisations, which were celebrated at an awards ceremony held at the Cyer Arts Centre in Carshalton.
Sutton's Community Awards are run in partnership between Community Action Sutton, Sutton Housing Partnership, Volunteer Centre Sutton, and Sutton Council. The awards aim to celebrate the individuals, volunteers and community groups that have made an exceptional contribution to making Sutton a better place to live, work and raise a family.
To ensure that we recognise a range of outstanding residents, awards are given for eleven categories. Shortlisted nominees in each category will be approached to tell their story virtually and this will be shared as part of a digital campaign. The judging panel will then deliberate and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in October 2024.
Nominations for the 2024 awards will close at midnight on Sunday 15 September 2024.
