Sutton's Vital Role in London's Growth

This week I was delighted to join the Mayor of London and London Councils at the launch of the London Growth Plan. The Plan names Sutton and the London Cancer Hub as key sectors and places for growth in London. 

The London Growth Plan is London’s ten-year ambition for growth and the actions that will be needed to make it happen. 

I am thrilled that the Plan positions the London Cancer Hub as the key engine for the capital's future life science sector growth. This reinforces Sutton's role as a global centre for oncology. The London Cancer Hub, with the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden NHS Trust, already delivers life-changing discoveries and care. 

A multi-million pound investment from Aviva and Socius will further expand the Hub, adding commercial and community spaces and creating new jobs.

Sutton is committed to working with the Mayor and the Government to unlock its potential and contribute to London's future growth and jobs.
