As the Leader of Sutton Council, I would like you to join me at a very important meeting with Sutton’s Police Team on Tuesday, 14 January 2025, at the Thomas Wall Centre in Sutton town centre. This is your chance to talk directly with senior officers including Chief Superintendent Andy Brittain and Superintendent Lewis Collins.
The doors open from 5:30pm and tickets, which are free, can be found here.
The meeting will review the progress made in the New Met for London plan and the clear objectives of the Met Police to deliver more trust, less crime, and high standards across our capital, including Sutton.
Sutton has one of the lowest crime rates in London, a reflection of our community’s commitment to safety and the strong partnerships we’ve built through initiatives like the Sutton Safer Partnership Service. This partnership between Sutton Council and the Metropolitan Police is the way we will address anti-social behaviour, improve police visibility and develop trust between the police and our residents.
At the meeting, you’ll hear from the Metropolitan Police about their progress so far and future plans. We’ll also discuss how your feedback has shaped the changes underway and invite you to share your thoughts, ask questions and contribute to the next steps.
Events like this are an important part of working with our partners to continue to keep Sutton as one of the safest boroughs in London. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, your input is invaluable. Together, we can continue to ensure that Sutton remains a borough where everyone feels safe and secure.
Please join us on Tuesday 14 January to learn more and give your feedback and views. Let’s keep working together to make Sutton a place we’re all proud to call home.
