Get your nominations in for Sutton Community Awards!

As the Leader of Sutton Council, I'm thrilled to announce that nominations for the Sutton Community Awards open next week! This annual celebration recognises the remarkable contributions of individuals, groups, and organisations across our borough.

This is a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary people and community groups in Sutton. Nominations open on Monday morning, so please start thinking about the incredible individuals and groups in our borough who you know who deserve to be recognised.

Every year there are hundreds of nominations and last year we celebrated our highest-ever number. An awards ceremony was held at Cryer Arts in Carshalton last October to celebrate all those shortlisted. This year, we're anticipating even more nominations and are eager to honour those who make Sutton such a wonderful place to live.

Sutton's Community Awards are run in partnership between the Council, Community Action Sutton, Sutton Housing Partnership and Volunteer Centre Sutton and they aim to celebrate the individuals, volunteers, community groups and businesses that have made an exceptional contribution to life in Sutton. 

The awards shine a light on people who give up their time, talents and skills to help and support others in their community, as well as those who have trained, worked and put their all into making our borough an even better place. We want to show them how grateful we are.
