Sutton Council responds to Care Quality Commission inspection

The report praises the efforts of staff from both teams in the difficult context of COVID-19. However, it also makes recommendations for improvement in both teams, with the Specialist Health Team for People with Learning Disabilities receiving an overall rating of 'Requiring Improvement'.
The Council welcomes the report and has already begun work to address the issues flagged by inspectors.
Councillor Marian James, Chair of Sutton Council’s People Committee said:
“The CQC inspection highlights a number of key areas that need to be improved across our specialist provision for people with learning disabilities. Work has already begun to address the issues highlighted in the report. Sutton Council is committed to providing people-focussed services to residents.”
