Apply for a CPZ permit

If you're a local resident in a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), you'll need to buy a permit to park there.

To apply for a CPZ permit, we’ll need to see proof of residence and proof that you’re the registered keeper of the vehicle.

Proof of residence must be:

a valid or current tenancy agreement, or
a Council Tax letter (must be current financial year), or
a utility bill (gas/electric/water) no more than 3 months old, or
if you are moving into the area, we will need confirmation of your new address (such as a solicitor's letter or a tenancy agreement)

Proof you’re the registered keeper of the vehicle must be:

a copy of the vehicle registration document (V5) that shows your address, or
a copy of a car insurance document that shows you as the policy holder and includes your address and vehicle details

You won’t need to pay until after we let you know that we have approved your application.

Permits are valid for 1 year and each household can have up to 3 permits in a year.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 2pm (closed Bank Holidays). Card payment is available at this office.

We will need written confirmation that you have sole use of the vehicle at your address.

We’ll contact you if your application is approved and let you know how you can pay online using a debit or credit card.

It may take us up to 5 days to review your application and send out your permit.
