What the ULEZ is and whether it covers Sutton The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year, except Christmas Day (25 December)

It's a Transport for London (TfL) scheme, not a borough scheme. You can find more information on the TfL website including why a ULEZ is in place.
If you are planning to drive through the ULEZ, you will need to pay the charge unless you are exempt. More details about this can be found on the TFL website including a map of the area covered.
On Friday 25 November, it was announced that the ULEZ area would be expanded to cover all of London, including Sutton.
If you drive a vehicle that doesn't meet the emissions standards inside the expanded ULEZ, you could face a daily charge of £12.50. This includes residents of the ULEZ. However, you don't need to pay the ULEZ charge if you are parked inside the zone and don't drive.
The design and installation of the ULEZ expansion is a matter for TfL. Any queries related to ULEZ expansion need to be directed to TfL directly.
