Sutton named as host borough for London Festival of Architecture 2024

Sutton has been chosen for the first time as one of the host boroughs for the prestigious London Festival of Architecture (LFA) in 2024. The festival running from 1 June to 30 June celebrates architectural excellence, community regeneration and innovative urban development. 

Last year, 1 million people got involved with the Festival across the capital and it is expected to be even bigger and better this year as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. 

This year’s theme of ‘Reimagine’ resonates with the Council’s ambition to continue creating striking, welcoming and unique spaces for existing communities and future generations. Sutton High Street has been named as a ‘LFA Neighbourhood’ and will host a series of exciting events.

The festival will feature a diverse range of free and ticketed installations, exhibitions, workshops, talks and special events. More information about the Sutton events will be published on 8 May.

The Sutton programme of events between 17 June and 23 June will be led by Sutton’s businesses and communities and will show how the High Street has been reimagined  making it one of London’s best places to live, work and visit.

Sutton was chosen as a host borough after a series of successful regeneration projects led by the Council, in partnership with local businesses and partners including the Sound Lounge, Oru Sutton, the Really Local Group and Sutton College.
