This development has now been completed and handed over.

This is the Council’s second Passivhaus housing development. Passivhaus is a leading international design standard that delivers high standards of comfort and health, while significantly reducing energy use and tackling fuel poverty. Homes built to the Passivhaus standard typically achieve around 40% lower energy bills compared to schemes delivered to prevailing building regulation standards.

Planning permission was granted to redevelop the existing site to deliver:

  • a block of 4 flats
  • 5 houses

The completed development comprises:

  • 1 one bedroom wheelchair adapted flat
  • 3 two-bedroom flats
  • 5 three-bedroom houses

The scheme was completed and handed over in November 2025, and the new homes are now occupied.

The Council is grateful for the funding support provided by the Greater London Authority (GLA), which has been instrumental in enabling the delivery of these high-quality, energy-efficient affordable homes. Download the 30-32 Beddington Lane proposals (PDF)
