This is the Council’s second Passivhaus housing development. Passivhaus is a leading international design standard that requires new developments to deliver high standards of comfort and health, while slashing energy use and reducing fuel poverty. This means that fuel bills will be reduced by 37% compared to schemes built to the prevailing building regulation standards.
Planning permission has been received to redevelop the existing site and build:
- a block of 4 flats
- 5 houses
The project is currently on site and the finished development will comprise:
- 1 one bedroom wheelchair adapted flat
- 3 two-bedroom flats
- 5 three-bedroom houses
These homes are anticipated to be delivered in October 2025.
