National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2023

Sutton is once again supporting National Hate Crime Awareness Week which runs from 14 - 21 October 2023.
We are working with the Metropolitan Police and Stop Hate UK and other organisations across the borough to host a series of events to raise awareness and tackle the important issue of hate crimes in our community.
Monday 16 October - Sutton Train Station, 8-10am
The Council, Police, StopHateUK and the London Fire Brigade will be at Sutton Train Station raising awareness about hate crimes and how residents can report a hate crime.
Monday 16 October - Carshalton High Street Car Park, 5-7pm
The Council, Police and TimeOut Youth Project from the Riverside Centre will be on Carshalton High Street (near the car park) raising awareness about hate crimes and how residents can report a hate crime. Find out more information.
Tuesday 17 October - Slug & Lettuce, Sutton High Street, 6-8pm
We stand against LGBT+ hate. Join Police to discuss the issues facing the LGBT+ community particularly in regards to reporting of hate crime. Find out more information on Eventbrite.
Wednesday 18 October - Belmont Park Entrance, 2-3:30pm
Walk and Talk with Police: Male Violence Against Women and Girls
Thursday 19 October - Sutton High Street, 3-5pm
The Council, Police and TimeOut Youth Project from the Riverside Centre will be on Sutton High Street near McDonalds raising awareness about hate crimes and how residents can report a hate crime. Find out more information.
